by admin on Aug.26, 2010, under Hollywood
In her latest interview to Access Hollywood, Kara DioGuardi said she was looking forward to Season 10 of ‘American Idol’. Sometime after the interview, a source close to the celebrity confirmed that Kara was thinking about quitting the show this summer.
The breaking news was first reported by E! News and the source close the singer confirmed the story. As of now, the singer has not received any word from FOX or Fremantle regarding her tenure at the show. The panel of judges for the next season “American Idol’ will be announced soon and we will have to wait to see if Kara features in the list.
During the interview to Access Hollywood, Kara said that she was not as excited about the show like before. Kara further added that she still loves her job as the judge of American Idol as it allows her to give talented people a shot at fame and glory. Within a few weeks of that interview, reports started surfacing that Kara might have been chopped off from the Judge panel. Some of the reports even suggested that a number of other celebrities were considered to fill up the empty spot.
American Idol Season 10 starts early September 2010 when the judges will meet contestants from various cities across the U.S.

ABC Studios Bringing Spooks To The States
by admin on Aug.16, 2010, under Hollywood
The United States has bred many a superspy, but one can’t deny the contributions that the British have made to the sub-genre. Sure, we’ve got Ethan Hunt and Jason Bourne, but we owe a great deal to our friends from across the pond for the high-octane James Bond franchise and one of the coolest serialized shows about the adventurous and often dangerous espionage industry – Spooks.
To the dismay of longtime fans of the BAFTA-winning spy drama, ABC Studios has closed a deal for the rights to Spooks and will adapt for primetime television, reports Deadline. Michael Seitzman, writer of the Oscar nominated North Country and producer of two pilot’s at the network (the ill-fated Empire State and House Rules) has been tapped to write and executive produce the adaptation, which has received a script order from the alphabet. The program follows the work of a group of MI5 officers based at the service’s Thames House headquarters in highly secure offices known as The Grid. Launched in 2002, Spooks has become one of the U.K.’s top series of this decade (a new season is set to debut this fall). Under the title MI-5, it has aired in the U.S. on A&E, BBC America and PBS and has become one of the most recognizable British imports on the tube today.
With any luck (and a lot of praying), Seitzman will honor the source material and give American audiences a taste of what the English has been savoring for the past eight years. Spooks is known for it’s incredibly smart dialogue and hardcore depiction of the lives of spies. Comparisons to Alias and 24 are not welcome – this is a program that shows what the daily hardships and dangerous missions of real intelligence operatives are like. A glamorous, “Americanized” makeover will turn off fans of the original and could sink ABC’s version before it even gets started.
SPOILER: The Winner Of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Is…
by admin on Aug.13, 2010, under Hollywood
Lauren Froderman had all the right moves on “So You Think You Can Dance.”
Viewer votes awarded the 18-year-old recent high school graduate from Phoenix the title of “America’s Favorite Dancer” and the $250,000 grand prize. Froderman bested 18-year-old runner-up Kent Boyd of Wapakoneta, Ohio, and 19-year-old third-place finisher Robert Roldan of Thousand Oaks, Calif., on the Fox dancing contest’s live finale Thursday.
“I have been working my whole life for something like this,” Froderman said.
The bubbly contemporary jazz dancer was best known for her ability to pick up other styles, effortlessly taking on hip-hop, ballroom and Bollywood routines throughout the seventh season. She also deftly tackled a wardrobe malfunction – a dangly broken dress strap – while performing a Broadway number during the third week of competition.
Before Froderman’s crowning, the finale featured performances from dance troop Quest Crew, 7-year-old tap dancer Luke Spring and a duet between hip-hop dancer Stephen “tWitch” Boss and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. The former “American Idol” judge held her own in the fast-pumping, therapy-themed routine set to “Outta Your Mind” by Lil’ Jon and LMFAO.
“As a joke, I said this would be fun to do,” said DeGeneres.
The seventh season was plagued with injuries that forced a few dancers out of the competition. It also introduced several switch-ups to the format, including narrowing the finalist field from 20 to 11 dancers, adding past contestants as partners and replacing screaming ballroom maestro Mary Murphy on the judging panel with cool choreographer Mia Michaels.

"He was a nice guy -- most guys who do what he does have an attitude," she told the New York Post. "But he was gentle."
Although McGee tells the Post she's upset James hasn't called to apologize, her main concern is her current custody battle with ex-husband Ronald Shane Modica for their 5-year-old son, Avery.
McGee's ex filed for temporary and legal custody of their son on Friday. He is fearful that Avery may be in danger in light of the allegations. "If she sees Avery, she will bring these curiosity seekers and glory hounds down on herself and Avery, totally confusing him and frankly scaring him," Modica wrote in legal papers.

Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday
by Celebrities News on Mar.29, 2010, under Celebrities, Celebrity Gossip, Hollywood
American Idol got off to a rocky start this week, with the Top 12 contestants rolling out tunes from The Rolling Stones. With some hit-and-miss performances, America voted and decided the first contestant eliminated would be Lacey Brown.
After receiving some lackluster reviews from the judges for her version of “Ruby Tuesday,” Lacey sang for her life in the hopes of receiving the elusive judges' save vote, but it was not to be. “I am trying to be positive,” Lacey said after the news, adding, “someone has to go home every week, and if it’s you, it’s you — it’s out of your hands.”
Following some shows in New York, it’s back to Amarillo, Texas for Lacey, where she’ll chill with her friends and family and then catch a movie or two. Last week's Idol, which also featured performances by Ke$ha and Orianthi, season seven winner David Cook proved himself a winner with a roaring performance of The Rolling Stones’ “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.”
This Tuesday, the remaining 11 contestants will battle it out for a place in the coveted Top 10 (ensuring a place on the Idol summer tour) with a Billboard No. 1 Hits-themed week.
Jack Nicholson’s raccoon relief
by Fametastic on Mar.20, 2010, under Celebrities, Celebrity Gossip, Hollywood
The Oscar-winning actor was showing a group of male pals around his Hollywood Hills home when he asked them to make sure they relieve themselves outside - to stop wild racoons coming too close to his property.
According to the National Enquirer magazine, he said: “Hey, whenever you guys have to go, feel free to come out here and urinate in the yard.”
The group thought the 72-year-old screen legend was making a joke and burst out laughing.
The veteran movie star isn’t normally so concerned about keeping wild animals away.
He recently revealed he was considering being eaten by vultures when he dies.
He quipped: “I’ve had several ideas. Once I thought it would be nice to be buried under a large statue that is at least ten metres high. Then I liked the nature of the Indians who haul their bodies up into the trees so that they are eaten by the birds.”Demi Moore Wins Pepsi Refresh Celebrity Challenge
by Mark Dagostino on Mar.18, 2010, under Celebrities, Celebrity Gossip, Hollywood
It was an epic showdown: Kevin Bacon vs. Demi Moore. Superstars for doing good, battling it out to gather their fans to vote in support of their chosen causes. In the end, it all came down to social media: Twitter-master Moore was able to rally the votes to beat Bacon in the Pepsi Refresh Celebrity Challenge.
What exactly does that mean? Simple: Moore's chosen charity, the New York City-based human trafficking organization, GEMS Girls Educational & Mentoring Services — the nation's largest non-profit organization designed to empower American girls and young women who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation and domestic trafficking — will receive $250,000 to bolster their mission.
"The Pepsi Refresh Grant will allow GEMS to train 10 former victims as outreach workers and employ them to go back to their community and refresh the lives of thousands of victimized girls," Moore said in a press release announcing the award Monday afternoon. "I believe the work that GEMS is doing is nothing short of heroic!"
Moore is a longtime anti-human-trafficking advocate. Along with her husband, Ashton Kutcher, she even formed her own nonprofit, The DNA Foundation, as a way to force sex slavery out into the spotlight and help protect the freedom of the world's most vulnerable citizens.
"I am thrilled that GEMS has gained powerful allies in Demi Moore and The DNA Foundation and honored to be the beneficiary of a Pepsi Refresh Grant," GEMS Founder and Executive Director Rachel
Lloyd (left) said in the press release. "The grant will support us in the important work of transforming survivors of domestic trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation into future leaders."
For his efforts, Bacon won't walk away empty handed: Pepsi will award his SixDegrees.org a $100,000 grant, which the star will use to distribute thousands of $20 SixDegree.org Good Cards — gift cards that individuals can use to support a charity of their choice.
Bacon's and Moore's ideas were just two of the thousands of innovative, optimistic ideas for which the Pepsi Refresh Project will award more than $20 million in 2010.Holly Madison: Planet Hollywood Hottie
